Recently, I have been looking at other business blogs to get ideas and I have found many written in America, lots written by business students and some which are not regularly updated. Recent research has suggested that working overtime can affect your health, with those working three to four hours overtime increasing their chance of heart disease significantly. Similar studies have looked at the impact of stress in the workplace and how it can be a major factor in the development of heart disease. Read the BBC report here.

BP Caps First Oil Leak

BP has managed to cap the first, and smallest oil leak, spilling from it's damaged oil pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico.

It is estimated that 800,000 litres of oil are spilling into the sea every day threatening to cause a huge environmental disaster in the area. Sea fisheries and wildlife are threatened as well as the local economy

BP is spending up to $6m per day trying to stop the leak and clean up the oil. As a consequence, BP's share price has fallen and it faces huge costly legal actions.
